Here’s what you need to know:

1. Contact your IGNOU Regional Centre:

  • Reach out to the admissions office or relevant department at your regional centre. They’ll provide details about the application process, including any required fees.

2. Submit the Application Form:

  • IGNOU doesn’t offer an online application form. You must download the “Application for Issue of Migration Certificate” form from the IGNOU website http://ignou.ac.in/userfiles/Migration%20Certificate.pdf
  • Fill out the form accurately, including your name, registration number, examination details, and reason for requesting the certificate.

3. Submit the Application Packet:

  • Submit the completed application form along with the following documents to your regional centre:
    • Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 500/- drawn in favor of “IGNOU” and payable at the city of Regional Centre concerned
    • Attested photocopies of your consolidated statement of marks and degree/provisional certificate issued by IGNOU.

Duplicate Migration Certificate can be issued on payment of Rs.500/-, in case the same has
been lost, destroyed or mutilated, on submission of an Affidavit drawn upon a non-judicial
stamp paper the value of Rs.10/- to be sworn in before a Magistrate on the following format

4. Processing and Receiving the Certificate:

  • After your application is processed and approved, your migration certificate will be dispatched via post within 15-30 days.
