The Odisha government has recently announced a new scheme ( Kalakar Sahayata Yojana ) aimed at providing financial assistance to artists in the state. The Artist Pension Scheme is designed to support artists and promote their welfare by providing them with a regular pension.

- An artist in order to be eligible for the assistance shall be of minimum 50 (fifty) years of age in case of male and 40 (forty) years and above in case of female artists.
- The annual income of the artist shall not exceed Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) only for the artists belonging to Rural Area and Rs.60,000/– (Rupees sixty thousand) only for the artists belonging to Urban Area or as may further be determined by the Government from time to time. The applicant has to enclose the annual income certificate in issued by Competent Authority in this regard with this application.
- An artist covered under this scheme will not be eligible for similar benefits under any other scheme of the Government.
Cancellation of Pension Kalakar Sahayata Yojana Form
The Financial Assistance granted to an artist shall be cancelled,On his / her death (or)
- On the satisfaction of Government that information furnished to the District Level Selection Committee in pursuance of sub-rule(i) of Rule- 3 was either erroneous, false or inconclusive (or)
- On the determination by the Government that the beneficiary has indulged in activities prejudicial to public interest or public order (or)
- On his/her ceasing to have the eligibilities referred to in clause (ii) of Rule-4 (or)
- Non-submission of Life Certificate within the prescribed date line during each year.
- In each financial year, required budgetary provision shall be made available in the Budget of Odia Bhasa, Sahitya 0 Sanskruti Department
- Each year in the month of April, the beneficiary shall furnish his / her Life Certificate in the prescribed Form signed by any Member of Parliament / Member of Legislative Assembly / any Gazetted Government Officer / Chairman of ULBs / Chairman —of any Panchayat Samiti.

Important Notice: How to Apply for Kalakar Sahayata Yojana Form
Applications should be submitted in prescribed form through respective State Government/UT administrations with their recommendations. Without recommendations of State Government/UT Administrations, the application shall not be considered and rejected summarily. How to Online Apply Kalakar Sahayata Yojana Form
The application may be made online through using the Registration/login Page of Culture Scheme Monitoring System (CSMS) http://csms.nic.in/login/index.php on the website of the Ministry of Culture www.indiaculture.gov.in under the heading of ‘MOC Schemes Application’.
The hard copy of duly filled-in application form for award of Artistes Pension along with all the necessary enclosures as mentioned in the application form should be sent to “The Director, South Central Zonal Cultural Centre, 56/1, Civil Lines, Opposite MLA’s Hostel, Nagpur, Maharashtra, Pin-440001” through respective State Government/UT Administrations with their recommendations in the prescribed format.

- Provide pension / financial grants to the Artists of indian citizen as a token of recognition to their outstanding contribution in the field of Art & Culture.
- To provide pension/financial grants to the indigent families of artists who have made outstanding contribution.
A recent (not older than six months) clear & coloured passport size photograph of the applicant to be affixed and self-attested across the application form. Without photograph the application shall be rejected summarily.
If I do not furnish Jeevan Pramaan (computer generated digital life certificate) or conventional Life Certificate once in twelve months, Government has the authority to stop pension and get back pension amount, if already deposited in my account
